Productoo P4 connected the mixing lines, laboratory workstations, and logistics warehouse into a single door-to-door (D2D) digital flow. Chemists in the laboratory test samples from each produced batch and record and archive the resulting parameters directly in the Productoo P4 system. A failsafe mechanism (poka-yoke) works here in practice: unless the laboratory confirms 100% compliance of the produced sample with the recipe parameters, the system automatically blocks the generation of the shipping label and the physical release of the batch from the warehouse, physically preventing the delivery of a defective item to the customer.
